Post ASSESSMENT Support

Psychological Assessment Support Sessions

We are mindful of the emotions that can come up following a diagnosis. For some, a diagnosis confirms what a person already knows about themselves, but for others, it may be a shock. Often, people can be left with conflicting feelings that can be difficult to navigate. Therapeutic support offers a space to help process and make sense of these emotions, and to understand neurodivergence and what this means to you.

It provides a safe space to explore aspects of ourselves and often helps us to enhance our quality of life. We offer individual support with a clinical psychologist both in person in York, and online.

Sessions are between fifty minutes and one hour in length.

Please note, you do not need a diagnosis to access this support and we work with people who self-identify as being neurodivergent, or who wonder whether they may be. We also provide therapeutic support to people with a learning disability. We are passionate about adapting how we work to best meet the needs of the person accessing support; this might include providing information visually, or having a movement break in the session, for example.

We are always eager to hear about any adaptations you feel we could make to help you feel comfortable.
